Of all the Cafés I have found in East Grinstead Bluebells is the only one that offers a full menu of breakfasts, lunches and dinners as well as the usual Café snacks such as cakes and cream teas.
All the food is made in house so freshness is guaranteed. One of my favourites is the massive home made burger that you can get stacked with whatever you want. My choice was cheese and garlic mushrooms which was divine!
Drinks - Rating 5/5
The coffee is widely regarded as the best in town. Bluebells Café is the only place in town I know of that serves the world famous Illy Coffee.
In addition to the standard drinks from any café they also have a fresh juice bar where they squeeze and blend a plethora of specialized juices from the "Morning After" and "Detoxifier" to the "Health Boost Juice" and my favourite "Cutie Fruity."
In addition they also make home made Smoothies and Milk Shakes.
Atmosphere - Rating 4.5/5
Bluebells has a great corner location so there is pretty much wall to ceiling windows on the two street facing walls which is great for the light and watching the world go by.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and even when it is very busy they still seem to keep you being served throughout.
Kids - Rating 5/5
I had the chance to bring my nieces and nephew to Bluebells and found, with high chairs and toys supplied, it was a very comfortable experience. They also have quite a good kids menu and also their own selection of fresh squeezed juices.
The kids loved it and in addition to the above cheap juice boxes and scones were great for keeping them occupied while I read my paper.
Additional Notes
From all the fliers and notices around it is very apparent that Bluebells puts the evenings to good use with lots of parties, gigs and other events such as meetings and charity fund raisers. They provide the space as a free venue in the evenings and with their fully licensed bar and available license extensions this is a great little place to hold a party or celebration.
They also provide outside catering for weddings, parties etc.
